Physiotherapy

What is Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapists are experts in the structure of the human body and its movement. They work with participants of all ages to treat a broad range of health conditions including musculoskeletal conditions as well as chronic health conditions such as diabetes, obesity, osteoarthritis, and stroke.

Physiotherapists are involved in the assessment, diagnosis, planning and management of participant care. This normally includes coordinating treatment and strategies to improve the participant’s mobility, balance, gait, and physical strength with the ultimate goal of improving independence, overall physical and psychological health, and decreasing falls risk and pain.

Our experienced physiotherapists are able to provide evidenced-based therapy due to their extensive training and qualifications, wide range of experiences, and our internal professional development program. For more specific information about our physiotherapists’ individual experience and areas of expertise, you can view Our Expertise.

Physiotherapists frequently work closely with other allied health professionals to provide complementary services to achieve a participant’s goals.
